Kasoa: Three Women Allegedly Lock Up Uber Driver and Raped Him

An Uber driver in Kasoa has alleged that he was sexually assaulted by three women after responding to a ride request and transporting them to an apartment.

According to the driver, the incident occurred after he picked up the three women and took them to their requested destination. He claims that after entering the apartment, one of the women locked the door, leaving him unable to leave the premises.

The driver alleged that the women began touching him despite his protests. He said he informed them that he needed to leave to continue working, but one of the women allegedly pushed him onto a bed while the other two restrained him.

He further alleged that one of the women then sexually assaulted him while the others held him down, making it difficult for him to move or escape.

The driver described the incident as an experience he did not consent to and said he was unable to prevent what happened despite attempting to resist.

His account has sparked discussions about sexual violence against men and the importance of recognising that men can also be victims of sexual assault.

The case has also drawn attention to the safety concerns faced by ride-hailing drivers, who frequently transport passengers they have never met and may sometimes be taken to unfamiliar locations.

The allegations have not been independently established in court, and details regarding whether a formal complaint has been made to the police or whether the three women have been identified remain unclear.

The incident has nevertheless generated public interest, with calls for authorities to properly investigate the allegations if a complaint is filed and ensure that any person accused of wrongdoing is given due process.

The driver’s account continues to circulate widely as discussions intensify over consent, personal safety and the protection of male victims of sexual violence.
