Ethiopian Honorary Consul General arranges picnic party for diplomats

An informal diplomatic picnic was hosted by the Honorary Consul General of Ethiopia, Ibrahim Tawab, bringing together members of the diplomatic community and senior officials in Karachi in a cordial and friendly atmosphere.

The gathering was attended by Director General, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Karachi Liaison Office, Irfan Somroo; Consul General of Germany Thomas E. Scul; Consul General of Malaysia Younus Ibrahim; Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh Saqib Sadaqat; Consul General of Iraq; and Iranian diplomats, along with other distinguished guests.

The event provided an opportunity for diplomats and senior officials to interact in an informal setting and exchange views on matters of mutual interest, while highlighting the importance of people-to-people contacts and friendly relations among countries.

Speaking on the occasion, Honorary Consul General of Ethiopia Ibrahim Tawab welcomed the distinguished guests and expressed appreciation for their participation. He emphasized the importance of strengthening diplomatic, cultural and economic relations and promoting greater understanding and cooperation among the countries represented in Karachi.

Director General, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Karachi Liaison Office, Irfan Somroo, appreciated the initiative and highlighted the significance of regular interaction between diplomatic missions and the Foreign Ministry. He said such informal gatherings contribute to strengthening mutual understanding and closer relations.
