Six illegal housing schemes demolished
DERA ISMAIL KHAN – The district administration has demolished structures belonging to six unapproved housing schemes in Dera Ismail Khan as part of a crackdown on housing societies operating without mandatory approvals and no-objection certificates (NOCs).
Assistant Commissioner Dera Dr Muhammad Hamid Siddiq, along with the Tehsil Municipal Officer, officials of the Land Use and Building Control Authority and other relevant departments, led the operation.
The action was carried out against the unapproved housing schemes located along CRBC Road, Bannu Road and Diyal Road. During the operation, boundary walls, main gates and approach roads of the six schemes were demolished, while other unauthorised structures were also removed. The district administration said the action was aimed at protecting citizens from being defrauded through the illegal sale of plots and investment in housing schemes operating without the required approvals.

It advised citizens against purchasing plots or investing in housing schemes that had not secured the necessary approval or a valid NOC. Residents were also urged to verify the legal status of a housing scheme, including its approval and relevant NOC, before entering into any transaction.
According to the administration, the sale and purchase of plots, transfers and other related transactions in the identified schemes have been prohibited.
The administration said the crackdown would continue and that all relevant laws and government directives would be strictly enforced to protect the interests of citizens.
