Elon Musk’s heartbroken baby mama Shivon Zilis reveals billionaire has ended their relationship with no warning…’I’ve loved him more than life itself’

Elon Musk’s longtime love and baby mama Shivon Zilis has revealed the billionaire abruptly ended their relationship ‘with no warning’ – with the mom-of-four declaring ‘it’s hard to go from in love to let go in a week.’
‘Hurting’ Zilis, an executive at Musk’s brain implant startup Neuralink, poured her heart out in a lengthy X post on Friday – just hours after eagle-eyed social media users noticed the billionaire had stopped following her on the platform he owns.
‘I’ve loved him more than life itself and he’s taught me 100 lifetimes of knowledge and made my cup overflow with life meaning, so there is a lot of loss, but luckily we created four beautiful little loves of my life,’ Zilis, 40, wrote on X.
‘I am so beyond grateful for our children and they make every single day the best day of my life! I do hope and pray he and I can be great friends and coparents.’
Zilis, who is believed to have first embarked on a secret tryst with the Space X founder back in 2016, went on to describe Musk as a ‘tortured soul.’
‘I feel happy that I got to show Elon how it feels to be deeply understood, nurtured, and peacefully loved with stability and gentleness,’ she wrote.
‘I loved being that counterbalancing place of safety, sense of calm, and love – and delighted in bringing a smile back to his face when he was down. I will miss him dearly.’
Zilis – the mother of four of Musk’s 14 kids – hinted, too, that she was blindsided by the breakup – sharing a screenshot of loved-up text messages the pair had exchanged just last week.
‘It was really wonderful to see you for breakfast. Love you very much,’ Zilis texted Musk.
‘Love you too. I didn’t realize that this Xi dinner included significant other (Beijing one did not) or I would have invited you,’ he responded on September 24, referencing the White House state dinner for the Chinese president. Zilis replied: ‘Aw, that means so much to me. Thank you.’
Musk, 55, hasn’t yet commented on the breakup.
Zilis ended her post by saying: ‘I’m hurting, but care deeply about E and will always be cheering for his happiness. God speed, Elon, the world is lucky to have you.’
The first apparent sign of trouble in the couple’s romance came back on September 28 when Zilis had posted a cryptic message on social media: ‘New day, new life.’
Then, earlier on Friday, Big Tech Alert, an account that tracks the online activity of technology figures, flagged that Musk had unfollowed her.
The Tesla founder only follows around 1,400 accounts.
News of the shock split comes just months after Zilis – who is one of four women Musk has children with – took the stand as a key witness in the Space X founder’s case against OpenAI earlier this year.
It was during her testimony that key details about their once-secret romance were laid bare.
Zilis, who was born in Ontario, Canada and studied at Yale University, had first met Musk through OpenAI – the artificial intelligence lab he co-founded in 2015.
She testified that their relationship began as ‘a one-off’ at a corporate off-site event – but later turned romantic around 2016.
Zilis told the jury that when she decided to have children as a single mom, Musk ‘offered to make a donation’ as a platonic sperm donor towards the end of 2020.
Their twins, Strider and Azure, were born by IVF in November 2021. News of their third child, Arcadia, surfaced in June 2024. And their son, Seldon Lycurgus, followed in February 2025.
Zilis testified that she lives in a house in Austin, Texas where Musk often stays when he visits their children.
Musk, for his part, called Zilis his ‘partner’ when it was his turn to testify.
The couple were spotted holding hands as they arrived at the wedding of White House deputy chief of staff Dan Scavino at President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate back in February.
Prior to becoming director of operations and special projects at Neuralink, Zilis had previously worked as a project director on Tesla’s Autopilot team from 2017 to 2019.
In the wake of their split, it wasn’t immediately clear whether Zilis would keep her roles at Neuralink and Musk’s other companies.
