ISLAMABAD: The first round of talks between the PTI-led opposition and the ruling coalition concluded on Friday with both sides agreeing to resume negotiations on Saturday in a bid to defuse political tensions ahead of the party’s planned Oct 4 long march.The meeting, chaired by National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, brought government, PPP and opposition representatives to the negotiating table amid growing tensions over the PTI’s protest call demanding the release of party founder Imran Khan.
