Gold gains Rs2,000 per tola as global prices climb
Gold prices in Pakistan increased on Friday, with the price of 24-karat gold rising by Rs2,000 per tola to Rs440,636, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
The price of 24-karat gold also increased by Rs1,715 per 10 grams, reaching Rs377,774.
The price of 22-karat gold rose by Rs1,572 per 10 grams to Rs346,305.
The international price of gold increased by $20 per ounce to $4,181.
The rise in global prices was reflected in the local bullion market, with domestic gold rates moving higher alongside international prices.
Silver prices also recorded gains in Pakistan.
The price of 24-karat silver increased by Rs50 per tola to Rs6,578, while the price of 24-karat silver per 10 grams rose by Rs43 to Rs5,639.
International silver prices increased by $0.50 per ounce to $61.
The latest rates are based on interbank exchange rates, according to the association’s rate sheet.
