“Even The Blind Know Who The Winner Is” – Nkechi Blessing Reacts After Losing To Phyna

Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has broken her silence after losing her celebrity boxing match against former Big Brother Naija winner Phyna in Lagos.

The two entertainers faced off on Thursday, October 1, at the Federal Palace Hotel during Balmoral’s ‘Chaos in the Ring’ event, following weeks of public tension between them.

Phyna was declared the winner after securing a fourth-round technical knockout. Reports also stated that she went home with a brand-new car and ₦50 million as the grand prize.

Reacting to the outcome, Nkechi took to social media to insist that she remained a champion regardless of the result.

She wrote: “Still a champion regardless of the result. Even the blind know who the winner is. Somebody NBS. That is if you really watch the fight, o. Only two days of training. Shout-out to my coach; I love you,, girl. Now let’s go back to making movies cause I no be boxer”.

The actress also appeared to suggest that she had limited time to prepare for the bout, revealing that she trained for only two days.

The boxing match came after the two celebrities had been involved in a public feud that later spilled into physical confrontations at public events. They had also nearly exchanged blows during their press conference before the October 1 bout, with security personnel stepping in.

With the fight now over, Nkechi appears ready to return to her acting career, ending her post by saying she is going back to making movies because she is not a boxer.
