BREAKING: Cristiano Ronaldo Quits Portugal Camp After Rift Rumours – Promises To Tell “The Truth”

Drama has exploded in the Portugal camp after Cristiano Ronaldo announced he has left the national team squad, vowing to reveal the real reasons behind his shock exit.

The 41-year-old Al-Nassr forward took to Instagram just hours after head coach Jorge Jesus insisted there was no rift between him and his captain.

Ronaldo was included in Jesus’ 25-man squad for this Nations League break and started the opener against Wales.

But tension grew after Sunday’s 2-1 win over Norway in Oslo. Ronaldo was an unused substitute and refused to join his teammates to applaud the travelling fans, heading straight down the tunnel instead.

Reports in Portugal claimed the five-time Ballon d’Or winner then refused to train on Tuesday.

“There was no incident whatsoever. Any player – and I was a player myself – when you spend 20 or 30 minutes warming up and then don’t get on, no-one is happy,” he said.

The former Benfica boss explained Ronaldo only did individual work for “mobility and strengthening” and would return to full training on Wednesday.

But Ronaldo never appeared in Denmark. Portuguese media filmed him leaving the Parken Stadium with two staff members.

Hours later, Ronaldo posted a bombshell statement:

“After the press conference of the national team and following a conversation with the president of the Portuguese Football Federation, I have decided to leave the national team training camp.

In time, I will tell all the Portuguese the truth about the reasons that motivated me to leave.”

He added that he wished his teammates luck.

This comes just months after Ronaldo admitted he considered retiring from international football after the World Cup, but decided to continue his chase for 1,000 career goals.

The Portuguese Football Federation confirmed his departure, stating preparation for the games against Denmark continues with 24 players.

With Goncalo Ramos scoring the winner against Norway and set to start again, has Ronaldo’s legendary Portugal career just ended in controversy?
