Pakistan’s foreign reserves stand $26.77 billion, SBP reserves further rise to $21.44 b

KARACHI : The total liquid foreign reserves of Pakistan stood US$ 26,770.9 million while State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) reserves kept surging to touch another high at US$ 21,439.2 million.

“During the week ended on 25-Sep-2026, SBP’s FX reserves increased by US$ 39 million to US$ 21,439.2 million”, the central bank Thursday reported in its weekly statement on the position of liquid foreign reserves.

However, the foreign reserves held by commercial banks decreased during the period under review by $ 78.6 million to $ 5,331.7 million, the breakup of forex reserves showed.

Pakistan’s total liquid foreign reserves in the previous week ended on September 18, 2026, stood $ 26,810.6 million. Among them the State Bank of Pakistan held foreign exchange reserves of $ 21,400.3 million while commercial banks held the reserves of $ 5,410.3 million.
