If It’s A Crime For A Brother To Protects His Sister, Then I Am Proud To Stand By Him-Regina Daniels

In a recent post on Instagram, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has publicly thrown her full support behind her elder brother, Sammy West, following his controversial arrest, which she attributes to an attempt to protect her.

The actress made the emotional declaration amidst a deepening family crisis involving her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.

Daniels’ strong statement, “A brother was arrested for protecting his sister, if that is a crime then i am proud to stand by him,” quickly went viral, igniting a fresh wave of public discourse on the ongoing marital and family conflict.

The arrest of Sammy West, reportedly on the orders of Senator Nwoko, has been corroborated by Sammy West himself via his Instagram Story, where he confirmed he was being held at a police division in Lagos before allegedly being moved to Abuja.

Regina’s siblings and colleagues, including fellow actress Mercy Johnson, have since rallied online, demanding his release and accusing the lawmaker of abuse of power and intimidation.

While the Lagos State Police Command initially denied responsibility for the arrest, they later clarified that the officers who detained him came from Abuja with a duly signed warrant, and he was only held briefly in Lagos.

Regina’s brother, Sweezzy, alleged in a separate post that Sammy West was taken straight to court from the airport, denied access to a lawyer, and was a victim of a direct charge, describing the entire ordeal as a “kidnapping.”

The backdrop to the incident involves previous allegations of domestic violence made by Regina against Nwoko, which he has vehemently denied, counter-accusing her of drug and alcohol influence.
