Speaking to some delegates, Dr. Acheampong also disclosed that he financed 27 out of 33 NPP parliamentary candidates in the Eastern Region, providing each with GH¢100,000 monthly.

Additionally, he stated that he gave GH¢2 million each to 26,000 NPP polling station executives in November 2024.

“I financed 27 out of the 33 NPP parliamentary candidates in the Eastern Region during the 2024 elections, giving each GHS 100,000 every month. I also gave GHS 2 million each to 26,000 NPP polling station executives in November, 2024,” he said.

Dr. Acheampong’s contributions have sparked discussions about the role of individual financiers in Ghana’s electoral process.

As the NPP prepares for its presidential primaries on January 31, 2026, Dr. Acheampong’s financial backing may influence his campaign dynamics.
