Here are the four regions to experience power outages on July 30

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has said it will conduct scheduled maintenance across four regions: Ashanti, Central, Greater Accra, Tema, and Volta on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, graphic.com.gh has said.

This initiative, according to them, forms part of the company’s ongoing efforts to enhance electricity distribution and service reliability.

The maintenance exercise is expected to result in temporary power outages in various communities between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, depending on the area.

In the Ashanti Region, the company stated in a notice issued on Tuesday, July 29, that it will undertake emergency maintenance from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Affected areas include: Anwiankwanta, Dominase, Behenase, Ntonanko, Poano, Daa, Apaaso, Sensor, Senfi, Adjamaso, Ofoase, Nampanse, Amansie, Aseibu, Anwiam, Amponnya, Sisikro, Bodoma, Homase, Bekrose, Penipa, Asikuma, Amoafo, Koniyaw, Asokore, Kokotro, Subriso, Asakyiri, Ahwiren, Estate, Damoanin, Bekwai Township, Esumeja, Asankare, Kwamang and surrounding areas.

Also, in the Central Region, emergency works will also take place between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Areas to be impacted are: Fetteh Kakraba, Akrampa, Nkwantanan and its surrounding communities.

In addition, the Greater Accra Region, which includes some parts of Tema, planned maintenance will be carried out from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM.

The areas expected to be affected include: Salvation Army, Abattoir, Youth With Mission, Nutri Food, Toyota Ghana Ltd Underbridge, Klagon and its environs. New Bortianor, Red Top, Abease, Achiama, Obeyeyie, Ayikai Doblo, Tantra Hills, St. John Cluster of Schools, Mile 7 Market, Pig Farm, Kotobabi, Abavana, Accra Newtown, Adjiriganor, Coconut Junction, Tseaddo, Anas Warehouse, Doryumu, Ayikuma, Kordiabe and their surrounding communities.

Finally, in the Volta Region, residents at Hodzo and its surrounding areas will experience power outages between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM due to planned works.

Meanwhile, the ECG has apologised for any inconvenience caused by the temporary outages.

The company has further assured customers that the scheduled maintenance is part of ongoing efforts to improve the quality and reliability of electricity supply in the affected areas.

“ECG regrets the inconvenience that will arise out of this exercise,” the utility provider noted in all the regional announcements.

Residents and businesses in the affected areas are encouraged to take appropriate measures to minimise any disruption caused by the scheduled power outages during the maintenance period.
