Illegal buildings on Sakumono Ramsar Site pulled down

The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Linda Obenewaa Akwe­ley Ocloo, has caused the demolition of unauthorized structures on the Sakumono Ramsar site.

This renewed operation follows a directive from President John Dramani Mahama and marks the first major enforcement effort since March.

Speaking to the media, Linda Ocloo emphasized that the demolition exercise is necessary, non-negotiable, and critical to preserving the integrity of the Ramsar site for environmental sustainability.
