The Top Fashion “Girlies” in Government

The “girls” lately are not leaving anything to chance, they are slaying from their bedrooms to the boardrooms. The days of wearing boring skirt suits and pants suits is gradually eroding off. But, If they choose to wear it, it must have some attitude and character.

I don’t know if the ladies went back to Beijing for a women’s conference on fashion and style. Or, they went for a masterclass on fashion. Cuz, everyone is singing from the same hymn sheet.

The ladies now show up in tasteful fashion ensembles worthy of notice by fashion connoisseurs. Upon careful observation, I’ve noticed the new crop of women who are government appointees are putting their best style foot forward and i am here for it!

Trust yours truly to have a bite on this, and give grease and oil to the ladies who are doing it right.

So I’ve reached out for my Ana Wintour dark shades, and doing what I do best.

In no particular order, let’s go;

Her Royal Highness Hon. Nana Oye Bampoe-Addo Deputy Chief of Staff. Madam has been pushing the fashion boundaries lately. She made my top list at the Inauguration of President Mahama. Nana Oye’s kente outfit ticked all the boxes for me. She has served nothing but good looks on all her public engagements since assuming office. 😘
Joyce Bawah-Mogtari, the lady who is known in the corridors of power as the person who has the ears of the President. (When all else fails… call Joyce) When it comes to style she is who she thinks she is. She gives it simple but yet hitting all the right notes. Her official outfits are top notch. Most times, she rocks simple braids with such elegance. She is the unofficial brand ambassador for Christie Brown. Her pieces for the inauguration ceremony and Independence Day Parade were top notch. JB u rock!!!
Obuobia is one of the “girls” in government eating up everyone with her style. OB knows how to put it together. The Acting MD of Ghana Airport Company LTD. She shows up at work always looking a 10. She gets it 💯 when it comes to social events OB serves it hot as well. What more do you expect from a stylist? Baby girl keep on the fashion flame 🔥 don’t dim it.
Former Attorney General and now Presidential Legal Advisor is one of the fashion forward appointees. Her style is quirky and quite unique. She is most time seen in skirt suits and sling back heels. The quirkiness in her outfit choices, is seen on the cuts and patterns. She prioritizes on minimalism I.e. less jewelry, make-up etc. in a nutshell she is simply stylish.
Next is former MP for Techieman South and now the Administrator at the Minerals Development Fund. Hon. Hannah Bisiw-Kotei is pushing the envelope with her fashion sense lately. I don’t know who is styling her, the person is doing a great job, cuz madam of late is very well put together. Her hair, makeup and outfits are top notch. Keep it up Hon.
Tilly as she is affectionately called by her friends is one of the fashion divas serving in government. Mrs. Matilda Asante Asiedu is the 2nd Deputy Governor at the central bank. She always scores high grades with her style assignment.
Former Miss Ghana and now Deputy MD of Consolidated Bank Ghana. Sheila Azuntaba is one lady i have also been spotting for a while. Aside crunching figures, she knows how to put together pieces to look good. Her style choice is easy breezy yet giving what is suppose to give!!!
The acting CEO of Petroleum Commission, Emefa Hardcastle is one diva who’s got fashion for days. My admiration for her is her use of jewelry. Her fine legs and anklet is a sight to behold… Come on!!! I’ve also noticed her for her impeccable taste in eyewear. She is mostly spotted rocking a trendy sunglasses.
Mrs. Benita Okity-Duah, former MP for Ledzokuku and now the coordinator of The Free Senior High School Secretariat. Mrs Okity-Duah is one stylish lady. She lives and breathes fashion. Her mother, a renowned fashion designer in her days and owner of the fashion house Winigol Fashion. She has styled most of the high society women. Benita was a former Miss Ghana and also the owner of Lady Bird Fashion. She understands the ins and outs of fashion.
It just sounds right when you put Madam Helga Aryee-Boadi’s name in a fashion statement. She is the CEO of the GNPC Foundation. This woman looks well put together in kaba & slit made in our local wax prints. She need not to gate keep who her designer is. She should share her details. Helga has a style of her own when it comes to her hair colour choice. I stan women who are “nonconformist” when it comes to their style choices. Keep giving us more colour girl!!!

I’m still on a thorough search for more ladies who are making a conscious choice of their style. That list will drop once I find them.

For now, these ladies are doing the lord’s work 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I say keep serving!!!
