Four missing and thousands evacuated due to flooding in Argentina

At least 3,700 people have been evacuated in Buenos Aires province, the newspaper La Nación reported, citing the national emergency agency.

Local security minister Javier Alonso said there had been no fatalities after three days of heavy rain, but entire areas were underwater.

Several school buses have been stranded due to the flooding, news portal Infobae reported.

In once case, 37 children and four teachers were rescued by helicopters after being stranded in flooding for 20 hours, television station TNĀ reported.

Another bus, with 44 passengers including children, was also stranded due to flooding. The fire brigade rescued the passengers with jet skis and boats.

The cities of Campana, ZƔrate and Salto were among those particularly affected by the storms.
