In response to their outcry, the Health Minister has vowed to prioritise the interests of the hospital and the health practitioners for the sustainability and better functioning of the hospital, to enhance progress and reformation for the people in the community at large.
Addressing the media on Thursday, April 24, the minister disclosed the ministry’s move to donate some equipment in support of the work of the doctors to promote smooth delivery of their services.
“My humble appeal to the medical doctors and health practitioners at Tamale Teaching Hospital is that I am the first person to take care of your interests. Therefore, let us call off the strike and let us all regroup and strategise the way forward.
“There are some of the things we can do with our internally generated funds, so please, let us confront the issues as they are,” he appealed.
