Criss Waddle Explains Why He Has Not Supported Showboy Since His Return
Criss Waddle has addressed the growing disagreement with his former AMG Business associate, Showboy, explaining why he has not offered him financial assistance since his return to Ghana after serving a prison sentence in the United States.
In a video circulating on social media, the rapper responded to complaints reportedly made by Showboy about the lack of support from him. Waddle argued that their strained relationship was not a recent development and that years of public disagreements had affected the business arrangements they once shared.
According to Waddle, the opportunities that previously allowed them to make money together had been damaged during the period of their fallout. He claimed that Showboy’s repeated attacks on his reputation had affected those income sources, leaving him with no financial avenue from which to provide the kind of assistance his former associate expected.
“Every avenue through which we make money, I don’t have any left because all those sources, you blocked them. So when you came back, what money were you expecting me to go and get?” Waddle said.
He also challenged the expectation that he should purchase an expensive vehicle for Showboy following his return to Ghana. Waddle specifically mentioned a Range Rover, questioning why someone who had spent years publicly criticising him would expect such a gesture.
“If you dedicate five, six, seven, eight years of your life to throw dirt on your brother’s name, and then you turn around and come back expecting your brother to buy you a Range Rover?” he asked.
He continued by questioning where the money for such a purchase would come from, adding: “Please, where do I take that money from? Let’s not be hypocrites.”
The latest comments have brought renewed attention to the troubled relationship between the two entertainers, who were once associated through AMG Business. Their disagreement has played out publicly over several years, with Showboy previously making accusations against Waddle and expressing dissatisfaction with aspects of their former relationship.
Showboy’s return to Ghana followed his imprisonment in the United States after a conviction connected to the 2019 incident involving Junior US. Since his return, questions about whether his former associates would support him have featured in discussions surrounding the pair.
Waddle’s latest response suggests that he sees the breakdown of their relationship as a consequence of years of conflict rather than a situation in which he is simply refusing to help a former friend. However, his explanation represents his side of the dispute, and Showboy’s response to these latest remarks was not included in the material available for this report.
