GFA assures late Fabulous Ladies player’s family of support
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has assured the family of late Fabulous Ladies player Agartha Takyiwaa of its full support following her death.
A high-ranking GFA delegation visited the bereaved family to express condolences and offer assistance during the difficult period.
The delegation conveyed the personal and institutional support of GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, assuring the family that the football community stood with them in their moment of grief.
During the visit, the Association also disclosed that it was working with the Ghana Police Service to ensure that those responsible for the player’s death were apprehended and brought to justice.
The GFA further pledged to provide logistical and financial assistance through the Ashanti Regional Football Association (RFA) to help the family organise a befitting burial for the deceased.
The delegation was led by GFA Executive Council Members Dr Gifty Oware-Mensah and Frederick Acheampong. Other members included Ashanti RFA Vice-Chairman Isaac Adu Gasper, Colts Football Chairman Kwabena Owusu Dankwa and Referees Manager David Kumah.
Representatives of Fabulous Ladies FC, Dreamz Ladies FC and Kumasi Sports Academy were also part of the delegation.
The visit, according to the GFA, reaffirmed the Association’s commitment to the welfare of football stakeholders and its determination to honour Agartha’s contribution to women’s football in Ghana.
