Sandra Dacha Fires Back at Critics Questioning Her Appearance After Dramatic Weight Loss

Kenyan actress and comedian Sandra Dacha has hit back at social media users questioning her appearance following her significant weight-loss transformation, insisting that losing weight does not mean she has become older.

The outspoken entertainer addressed the criticism in a social media post on Friday, November 6, 2026, after some users suggested that she looked younger when she was heavier but appeared older following her physical transformation.

In a humorous but pointed response, Dacha questioned why people expected her to lose weight while retaining the same facial features and body shape she had before embarking on her journey.

“Apparently, I looked younger when I was bigger and now I look old after losing weight. So basically, I was supposed to lose weight but retain the face and body of my former self? Aki, you people are difficult!!! Mimi nilipunguza KILO, si umri,” she wrote.

Her remarks have attracted attention online, with her response highlighting the conflicting expectations celebrities often face when it comes to their physical appearance.

Dacha has openly documented her weight-loss journey, sharing updates and photographs showing the changes she has experienced over time.

In November 2025, she revealed that her weight had dropped from 152 kilogrammes to 100 kilogrammes, marking a loss of 52 kilogrammes within one year.

Earlier, on November 4, 2026, the actress shared a throwback video of herself dancing with her partner, Akuku Danger, before her transformation, accompanied by the caption, “I will miss this body of mine.”

Her latest response has reignited conversations about body image, personal choices and the pressure public figures face over their appearances.

Rather than apologise for looking different, Dacha has made it clear that her physical transformation should not become an opportunity for people to dictate how she ought to look.
