“They Will Reveal Their True Colours at the 11th Hour” Mutahi Ngunyi Warns
Political commentator Mutahi Ngunyi has sparked fresh debate after issuing a warning to former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua over the political calculations surrounding Deputy President Kithure Kindiki.
In a strongly worded statement, Ngunyi questioned the intentions of some people within the Mt Kenya political circles, suggesting that Gachagua could be receiving misleading signals as the 2027 General Election approaches.
Ngunyi described those hoping to take Kindiki’s position as “deluded” and alleged that some individuals were misleading Gachagua to protect the current Deputy President.
He used the phrase “the Tao of Paradox” to describe what he believes is a political strategy in which public statements may differ from private intentions.
However, these claims represent his personal interpretation of the situation and have not been independently established.
He went further by using the expression “Bluetooth communication” to suggest that some political players could be communicating indirectly while keeping their actual plans hidden.
According to Ngunyi, their true intentions will become clear at the “11th Hour,” when it may be too late for Gachagua to change his political direction.
His warning suggests that the former Deputy President should carefully examine the people he trusts.
The remarks come at a time when Kindiki’s political position and the influence of the Mt Kenya region remain subjects of discussion ahead of the next election.
Kindiki has publicly expressed his intention to continue serving as President William Ruto’s running mate in 2027.
Meanwhile, Gachagua has remained an influential figure in the region’s political conversations, with questions continuing over the future direction of its leadership.
Ngunyi’s statement adds another twist to the political debate involving Gachagua and Kindiki.
His warning raises questions about trust, political alliances and the ambitions of leaders positioning themselves ahead of 2027.
Whether Gachagua will consider the concerns raised by Ngunyi remains to be seen, but the message has placed the relationship between political interests in the Mt Kenya region under fresh attention.
