Prepare for Heavy Rains for the Next 6-Days if You Live in the Following Parts of the Country

Kenyans in 47 counties should prepare for a week of possible rainfall after the Kenya Meteorological Department released its latest weather outlook covering November 3 to November 10, 2026.

The forecast points to a broad spread of rainfall across the country, covering several regions from the coastal strip and northeastern counties to the western region, the Rift Valley and parts of central Kenya.

Counties expected to experience rainfall include Baringo, Bomet, Bungoma, Busia, Elgeyo Marakwet, Embu, Garissa, Homa Bay, Isiolo, Kajiado, Kakamega, Kericho, Kiambu, Kilifi, Kirinyaga, Kisii, Kisumu, Kitui, Kwale, Laikipia, Lamu, Machakos, Makueni, Mandera, Marsabit, Meru, Migori, Mombasa, Murang’a, Nairobi, Nakuru, Nandi, Narok, Nyamira, Nyandarua, Nyeri, Samburu, Siaya, Taita Taveta, Tana River, Tharaka-Nithi, Trans Nzoia, Uasin Gishu, Vihiga, Wajir and West Pokot.

The outlook indicates that rainfall will not be limited to one part of the country, with counties in western Kenya, the Lake Victoria Basin, the Highlands, the Coast, northeastern Kenya and the southeastern lowlands all featuring in the forecast.

The expected weather could influence daily activities, particularly farming, transport and outdoor work. Farmers may use the forecast to plan their activities, while road users should remain cautious in areas experiencing rainfall.

The eight-day forecast runs from November 3 through November 10, 2026. Kenyans are advised to keep track of further updates from the meteorological department as weather conditions may vary between locations during the week.
