“This Fool Is Lecturing His Fellow Bandits While Being Pampered at Home” Miguna says
Lawyer Miguna Miguna has launched a fresh attack on former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, questioning the consistency of his political advice to opposition leaders ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Miguna took issue with Gachagua’s demand that fellow politicians leave their homes, reduce television appearances and concentrate on looking for votes.
In a strongly worded statement, Miguna accused Gachagua of failing to practise what he preaches.
He pointed out that the former Deputy President delivered his message while at his Wamunyoro residence in Nyeri, where he was accompanied by his wife, Pastor Dorcas Rigathi.
Miguna used the situation to question why Gachagua appeared to exempt himself from the advice he was giving other politicians.
Miguna wrote, “CHIEF TRIBALIST Rigathi Gachagua is lecturing his fellow BANDITS and OLIGARCHS to get out of your homes and go look for votes.
Stop sitting next to your wives…stop being on TV.” He then added that Gachagua was delivering the same lecture from his own home while sitting next to Dorcas.
The remarks come after Gachagua challenged opposition leaders to demonstrate their ability to mobilise voters instead of relying on press conferences, television appearances and meetings in hotels.
Speaking at Wamunyoro on November 3, 2026, he maintained that defeating President William Ruto in 2027 would require serious grassroots mobilisation and sufficient votes.
Miguna’s latest comments have added another twist to the growing disagreement among opposition figures.
As different leaders position themselves ahead of the next presidential contest, the debate over who has the strongest mobilisation strategy continues to attract attention.
Whether Gachagua will respond to Miguna’s criticism remains to be seen.
