Odunlade Adekola Celebrates Wife, Reveals What He Told Her When He First Approached Her 22 Years Ago

Long before Nollywood actor Odunlade Adekola became a household name, he had already found the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, and he has now taken a moment to remind her how their love story began.

The actor celebrated his wife, Ruth Abosede Adekola, on her birthday, sharing a touching message in which he recalled how he approached her about 22 years ago and expressed his intention to make her his wife.

Adekola, 49, shared the birthday tribute in an Instagram post on Monday, where he remembered the first time he met Ruth and how he made his feelings known to her.

Recalling the moment, the actor wrote, “I saw Madam Ruth Abosede Adekola about 22 years ago!

“I walked up to her and said, ‘My friend! I see what I want in you. Can you be mine?’”

He also recalled getting fully engaged to her about 20 years ago, describing her as the mother of his children.

In another part of his message, Adekola referred to Ruth as the “MOTHER of our KINGS” and his number one fan.

The actor further reaffirmed his love and commitment to his wife, promising to continue cherishing her for the rest of his life.

He also prayed for God’s continued favour upon their household and wished her a happy birthday, while asking his followers to join him in celebrating her.

Odunlade Adekola has established himself in the Nigerian movie industry as an actor, screenwriter, film producer and director.
