Please Give Regina Some Breathing Space–Nwoko Appealed

According to a report by Vanguard on Monday, November 2, 2026, Senator Ned Nwoko has appealed to members of the public, especially supporters, friends and fans of his estranged wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, to allow her some privacy and space to recover.

He also warned that individuals responsible for circulating false information about the actress could face legal consequences.

Nwoko made the appeal in a statement published on his official Instagram page, where he expressed displeasure over the spread of misleading information and fabricated reports concerning Daniels.

He specifically raised concerns about false death announcements and other harmful publications being circulated across social media platforms.

The senator described the development as disturbing, noting that the circulation of unverified information and hurtful content about the actress was inappropriate, particularly at a time when she needed understanding, privacy and support from people around her.

He urged Regina Daniels’ fans, friends, bloggers and other social media users to exercise restraint and avoid publishing or sharing information capable of worsening the situation.

According to him, allowing the actress sufficient time and space would give her a better opportunity to focus on her recovery without unnecessary public attention.

The lawmaker further explained that his appeal was not directed at Daniels alone but also concerned the welfare of their children.

He maintained that the children deserved an environment where their mother could receive the necessary encouragement and support to overcome her present challenges.

Nwoko stressed that the children should not be exposed to distressing reports or unnecessary public discussions about their mother.

He appealed to members of the public to demonstrate sensitivity and responsibility when discussing the actress, particularly through online platforms where unverified claims can spread rapidly.

“I want to make a sincere appeal to the public, particularly Regina’s fans, friends, bloggers and social media commentators, to please give Regina some breathing space,” he said.
