The Bulgarian was appointed on 21 September 2026. Unfortunately, the former Simba SC, Gaborone United and Jwaneng Galaxy coach is under scrutiny on the East Coast.

The club known as the Natal Rich Boyz are yet to register a victory in nine Betway Premiership matches this season. Their struggles have also extended to other competitions, with the club enduring six successive defeats across all competitions.

According to FARPost’s Sinethemba Makonco, Richards Bay management are weighing up the 50-year-old coach’s future. Internal talks are expected to determine whether he remains in charge.

The situation leaves the club facing a difficult decision. The results have been disappointing. But Pantev has had limited time to implement his ideas and turn the team’s fortunes around.

The Natal Rich Boyz have suffered several damaging defeats since his arrival, with their latest setback coming against Kruger United.

The defeats have left Richards Bay rooted to the bottom of the Betway Premiership standings. It has put high pressure on the club’s technical team.

The prospect of another coaching change comes at a challenging time for the club, with the league campaign already proving difficult.

Pantev’s short tenure has been marked by poor results, but the club must also consider whether changing coaches so early would provide the necessary improvement.

With management reportedly assessing the situation, the coming days could prove decisive for the Bulgarian coach.

For now, Pantev’s future at Richards Bay remains uncertain, with the club yet to make an official announcement regarding his position.
