Kenya Power Lists Tuesday Power Cuts In Spring Valley, Loitokitok And Njukini As Maintenance Begins

Kenya Power has announced planned electricity interruptions in parts of Nairobi and Kajiado County on Tuesday, November 3, as crews carry out maintenance work on the network.

The company shared the schedule on Monday evening, asking customers in the affected areas to prepare for a temporary loss of supply. The interruptions are expected to run for most of the working day.

In Nairobi, the outage will affect part of Spring Valley from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Listed locations include Peponi Road between General Mathenge junction and Thigiri Ridge Road junction. Spring Valley Road, Eldama Park and Bendera Lane will also be affected, alongside nearby customers.

In Kajiado County, power will be interrupted in parts of Loitokitok from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Locations include Loitokitok town, Loitokitok Customs, the airstrip, Sompet and Kimana Shell.

Other areas listed are Kilaguni Junction, Empironi, Itital, Kimana Sabasaba, Kimana Town, Isinet, Namelok, Inchalai and Mbirikani. Customers in nearby areas may also experience the interruption.

The notice also lists Njukini, where electricity will be unavailable from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Locations include Nkama Nolturesh, Ilasit, Zamzam and Kibaoni Tarakea Border Post.

Entarara Secondary School, Entarara Market, Rombo, Mile Tatu, Olgira and Elerai are also included, together with adjacent customers.

Kenya Power said the work forms part of its planned maintenance programme. The interruptions are scheduled in advance to allow crews to carry out work on the electricity network.

Residents and businesses may wish to charge phones and essential devices before the outage begins. They should also plan for possible disruption to electric equipment during the stated hours.

Customers relying on electricity should make arrangements early and plan daily activities around the scheduled maintenance period in their areas.
