Wetangula’s Brother Tim Wanyonyi, MP Wamboka Storm Villages in Bumula To Scale Support For Sifuna

Political activity in Western Kenya has intensified as senior figures within the opposition take campaign rallies to the grassroot level.

According to public statements shared on social media by Bumula MP Jack Wanami Wamboka, Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi, brother to National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula, has joined key opposition figures in leading the Linda Mwananchi Movement (LMM) campaigns directly to local villages in Bungoma County.

The leadership team has conducted mashinani public engagements in Lubunda within Khasoko ward, Bumula Constituency.

Following his decision to formally align with the movement, Wanyonyi has stepped out alongside Sifuna’s allies to popularize the newly registered outfit among rural voters.

The delegation has engaged residents on local developmental issues, grassroot mobilization, and the political trajectory of the movement.

The entry of Wanyonyi into the LMM fold has altered regional dynamics in Bungoma, long considered a stronghold of traditional political figures.

During the community meetings, local lawmakers have urged constituents to back the movement’s legislative and political candidate lineup in preparation for upcoming elections.

The campaign team has underscored the necessity of establishing solid polling-station networks across the constituency.

This rural campaign push in Bumula has marked a strategic move by opposition strategists to secure strong backing in key Western voting blocs.

By taking campaign activities directly to villagers, Wanyonyi and Wamboka have demonstrated a clear intent to consolidate support for the party’s platform and widen its national influence.
