Gogo Maweni Shares Soweto Derby Photos from FNB Stadium

Gogo Maweni sparked conversation online after sharing stylish photos from the stands at FNB Stadium during the Soweto derby over the weekend.

The traditional healer, reality television personality and businesswoman posted the images on Instagram on Monday, November 2, 2026, posing in a polished look as she took in the football atmosphere.

Her caption delivered a confident message to followers: “EVEN HATING ME WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE. I’M JUST THAT INSPIRATIONAL”

Maweni also credited the people behind her look, adding: “Hair: @thandii_s Nails: @joyayo633 Eyelashes: @lashesbylisa_jhb Brows: @fancybrowsinc Makeup: myself Snaps: @jay_ibes”

The post drew attention for its blend of glamour and match-day energy, a combination that has become part of Maweni’s public image.

Known for pairing traditional ancestral practices with a lavish, modern lifestyle, she has built a prominent profile in South Africa as a sangoma who is equally at home discussing her work and sharing fashion-forward moments.

Fans reacted to the photos and her self-assured caption, with the post once again prompting discussion around her confidence and distinctive persona.

Maweni has earned a reputation as a polarising figure, attracting both admiration and criticism. Her supporters often praise her boldness and business-minded approach, while detractors question her public style and outspoken presence.

The Soweto derby, one of South African football’s most closely followed fixtures, offered a fitting backdrop for the post.

FNB Stadium is renowned for its charged atmosphere on derby day, when supporters turn out in large numbers to back their teams.

Maweni’s photos placed her amid that spectacle while keeping the focus on her fashion and personal brand.

Widely recognized by her public name, Gogo Maweni, she is also identified as Makgotso Lee-Anne Makopo and as Makhotso Lee-Anne Mofokeng.

Her visibility across reality television and social media has helped her remain a frequent subject of online conversation, with fans often responding to her posts as much for their captions as for their visuals.

The latest upload keeps that pattern going: a stylish appearance at a major sporting event, paired with a message that leaves little doubt about her self-belief.

Whether followers viewed the caption as playful, provocative or motivational, it gave them plenty to discuss.
