Nollywood actor Odunlade Adekola has celebrated his wife, Deaconess Ruth Abosede Adekola on her birthday, recounting how he approached her more than two decades ago and later became engaged to her.

In a post shared via Instagram on Monday, November 2, 2026, the actor recalled meeting his wife about 22 years ago, saying he walked up to her and expressed his interest in making her his partner.

He wrote: “I saw Madam Ruth Abosede Adekola about 22 years ago! I walked up to her and said My friend! I see what I want in you, can you be mine?”

He also disclosed that he became fully engaged to her 20 years ago, describing her as “the MOTHER of our KINGS.”

Declaring his affection for his wife, the actor wrote: “I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER MY NUMBER ONE FAN.”

He further prayed for God’s continued blessings upon their home and wished her a happy birthday, adding: “God will continue to bless your home. Wa je ounje omo ooooo, Amin. Happy birthday to you my friend.”
