If I Were President, I Would Ensure He Receives Death Penalty Live – Kwame A-Plus

Gomoa Central Member of Parliament, Kwame A-Plus, has waded into the recent double murder case that has shocked the nation.

In a strong-worded post on Facebook, the controversial musician-turned-politician condemned the act, describing it as senseless violence with lasting trauma on the victims’ families.

At 72 years old, you take the lives of two people in the presence of your wife, while the children of one of your victims are at home. How are those children ever supposed to recover from such trauma? How do they make sense of watching their family shattered by such senseless violence? he questioned.

Kwame A-Plus did not mince words on what he believes should be the punishment.

According to him, if he were President of Ghana, he would ensure the perpetrator receives the death penalty and that his execution is broadcast live on national television to serve as a deterrent.

If I were President of Ghana, I would ensure that he receives the death penalty and his execution is broadcast live as a deterrent to others. Some crimes must have consequences severe enough to make people think twice before committing them, he wrote.

He further emphasized the sanctity of human life, insisting that society must send a strong message against murder.

People must understand that human life is sacred and that there must be consequences for taking it. People must learn sense, his post concluded.

His comments have since sparked mixed reactions online, with many debating the return of capital punishment in Ghana’s justice system.
