Bank of Ghana Releases Official Daily Daily Exchange Rates for Monday November 2, 2026

The Bank of Ghana has released its daily exchange rates for Monday, 2 November 2026. The rates show how much the Ghana cedi is worth against three major currencies: the US dollar, the British pound sterling, and the euro.

According to the Bank, these are the average interbank rates used by commercial banks for transactions at the close of business on Friday, 30 October 2026.

The US dollar is buying at ₵11.6142 and selling at ₵11.6258. This means a bank will buy one dollar from a customer for about eleven cedis and sixty-one pesewas. It will sell one dollar for slightly more.

The British pound sterling is buying at ₵15.5549 and selling at ₵15.5704. Of the three currencies listed, the pound has the highest value against the cedi.

The euro is buying at ₵12.9559 and selling at ₵12.9678. It ranks between the US dollar and the pound sterling.

The buying rate is the price at which a bank purchases foreign currency from customers. The selling rate is the price at which a bank sells foreign currency to customers. The selling rate is always a little higher than the buying rate. The difference is known as the spread, and it is how banks earn money on currency exchanges.

Exchange rates affect many parts of daily life in Ghana. Importers use them to plan the cost of goods from abroad. Students and families use them to estimate school fees and living costs overseas. Travellers and business owners also rely on them when making financial decisions.

The Bank of Ghana publishes these rates daily to keep the public informed and to support transparency in the financial market. People who need to exchange money should check the latest rates before any transaction. More information is available on the Bank’s website at www.bog.gh and on its social media pages under the name @thebankofghana.
