If you dont shut up about prophets, i will expose your secrect – owusu respond to otabil

According to report by Ghbase on Monday 2, November 2026, Ghanaian preacher and founder of Glorious Word Power Ministries International, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah, has taken a swipe at the founder of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Pastor Dr. Mensa Otabil, following comments attributed to him about the activities of fake prophets in Ghana.

Owusu Bempah made the remarks during a Sunday church service, where he expressed displeasure over Otabil’s reported comments that several prophets in Ghana were fake and were not genuinely born again.

Addressing his congregation, the controversial preacher made a series of allegations involving a pastor who is reportedly a close associate of Dr. Otabil. According to Owusu Bempah, the pastor, who is based in the United Kingdom, allegedly introduced a female church member to a man for marriage but continued having an intimate relationship with the woman even after she got married.

Owusu Bempah further claimed that he had personal knowledge of certain issues involving Dr. Otabil and some prominent religious figures in the country. He suggested that revealing what he knew could trigger significant public controversy.

He also alleged that he had intervened in a situation involving a well-known pastor, preventing the matter from becoming an international scandal involving major media organisations such as the BBC and CNN.

The preacher maintained that he had repeatedly protected the reputations of fellow ministers by keeping sensitive matters from becoming public whenever allegations emerged against them.

He therefore questioned Otabil’s authority to describe other men of God as fake prophets, insisting that religious leaders should exercise caution when commenting on the credibility and spiritual authenticity of their colleagues.

In a strongly worded warning, Owusu Bempah cautioned Dr. Otabil against making further comments that could damage the reputations of prophets in Ghana.

He declared that if Otabil continued what he considered attacks against other ministers, he would also be prepared to make revelations about issues he claimed to know.

“If he doesn’t shut his mouth and tries to mess with the reputation of prophets in this country, trust me, then we will also mess him up because we know things,” Owusu Bempah warned.

His comments have brought renewed attention to disagreements among prominent Ghanaian religious leaders and raised questions about public criticism, accountability and the conduct of Christian ministers.

However, the allegations made by Owusu Bempah remain unverified, and Dr. Mensa Otabil’s response to the claims was not included in the account of the Sunday service.
