Aduana return to winning ways with win over Chelsea

Aduana FC returned to winning ways in the Ghana Premier League with a convincing 2-0 victory over regional rivals Berekum Chelsea at the Nana Agyeman Badu I Park in Dormaa Ahenkro.

The Ogya Boys secured all three points in their Matchweek 9 encounter courtesy of a brilliant brace from forward Stephen Amankona, who struck in either half to hand Samuel Boadu’s side a deserved victory.

After a competitive opening period, Amankona broke the deadlock in the 43rd minute, giving the home supporters something to celebrate just before the half-time interval.

The forward made it 2-0 just five minutes after the restart, finding the back of the net in the 50th minute to complete his brace and put Aduana firmly in control of the contest.

Chelsea struggled to respond to the two-goal setback as Aduana maintained their advantage to secure an important home victory against their regional neighbours.

The result extends Aduana’s impressive record at the Nana Agyeman Badu I Park, where they have continued to establish themselves as a difficult opponent for visiting teams.

For Chelsea, the defeat ends their three-match unbeaten run and represents another disappointing result against Aduana, having struggled historically in away encounters between the two sides.
