Mahama’s Brother Responds to Nawara Mining Licence Controversy – Management Makes Fresh Revelation
Nawara Mining has dismissed claims linking Alfred Mahama, the brother of President John Dramani Mahama, to the revocation of its mining licence.
GHOne TV reported on Sunday, November 1, 2026, that the company’s management issued the clarification following public discussions and speculation about Alfred Mahama’s alleged connections to businesses mentioned in the controversy.
The management stated that Alfred Mahama had no involvement in the decision to revoke the company’s licence. It also denied claims that he owns shares in CMS-PRO or A&A Southern Industries Ltd.
According to the statement, Alfred Mahama is not a shareholder in either company and has no connection to the circumstances that led to the licence revocation.
The company explained that its position was intended to correct misleading claims and prevent any unsupported association between the President’s brother, the two companies and the mining licence dispute.
The issue has generated public interest because of broader concerns surrounding mining activities, regulatory decisions and the operations of companies in Ghana.
Nawara Mining’s management has reiterated that Alfred Mahama should not be associated with the revocation of its mining licence or presented as an owner or shareholder of CMS-PRO or A&A Southern Industries Ltd.
