Governor Alex Otti Intervenes Over Detained Lady Content Creator

He told journalists at a briefing that he asked the state’s Attorney-General to wade into the matter to ensure the lady’s release.

The governor made these known while responding to a plea by a concerned individual for the governor to help secure the lady’s freedom.

The governor readily consented to the plea, both advising that people should not always take matters too seriously and also for people to guard against remarks likely to cause disaffection and trouble.

“I am surprised that some of these things, people take them too serious and I don’t think it’s right

It’s also important that we draw a little line”, he advsed

The governor also made a reference to a reaction video of a man, obviously affected by the lady’s assertion, wondering whether the government should also go and arrest such a fellow for such inflammatory remarks.

Making reference to an episode n which a content creator ostensibly refeered to his height, the governor said:

“So some of these things, we should just laugh them over, instead of taking them so seriously.

“I have also asked the attorney-general , bec9i saw it in the early hours of this morning I asked the attorney general to wade in

“So if you carry a small girl and dump her in prison, of course, you can do that, if you want to apply the law strictly..the reality is that some of these things are not as serious as some of us look at them.

“I have asked the attorney general to look into it and find a way to sort out the problem.

I don’t think we should take things too seriously,

“ I don’t agree that somebody should be sent to jail until next year because (of content disparaging of a people).. that’s my personal opinion and I have also asked the Attorney-general to engage and handle this matter.

“It is not a very serious matter and people should stop taking some things too seriously.

“If she has apologized, leave her alone. I even heard that she even called my name, that I am one of the people supporting her.

“ I think we should laugh over some of these things and move on, they are not as serious.

“And, the young girl, she is just looking for followership; I don’t think she meant evil and wanted to land in jail, but now she has landed in jail I sure she would have learnt her lessons.

The Eagle Newsmedia reports that the lady content creator identified as Glad Uniq was remanded at Aba Correctional Centre until February 17, 2027, following a court proceeding over her content about the Ngwa people of Abia State.

The titled “Characteristics of Ngwa People Part 2,” had spoken in manners that some people consider offensive, warranting counter videos .

In a counter video, an obviously bitter Ngwa man was pouring libations and pronouncing serious curses on Unique.
