“Ai Picture Of Me Taking Money From Ramaphosa Was Shown To Zuma” Sibonelo Nomvalo Revealed

Former uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party secretary-general Sibonelo Nomvalo has alleged that artificial intelligence-generated pictures portraying him receiving money from African National Congress (ANC) leaders were presented to party president Jacob Zuma as part of an alleged campaign to discredit him and secure his removal.

Nomvalo made the allegations during his first media briefing following his dismissal from the party’s secretary-general position on 22 October 2026.

According to the former secretary-general, fabricated intelligence reports containing several accusations against him were allegedly submitted to Zuma, creating the impression that he was working with individuals from the ANC to undermine the MK Party.

One of the most concerning allegations, according to Nomvalo, involved an AI-generated image supposedly showing him receiving money from ANC leaders.

“To illustrate these lies, I’m told an AI picture of me taking money from ANC leaders was shown to the president (Zuma),” Nomvalo said.

He further claimed that another AI-generated image depicted him accepting an envelope from President Cyril Ramaphosa.

“In fact, AI pictures were shown to the president; I have one of those pictures of me taking an envelope from President (Cyril) Ramaphosa,” he added.

Nomvalo maintained that the allegations were part of a broader effort to portray him as disloyal to the MK Party and damage his relationship with Zuma.

The former secretary-general also rejected suggestions that he had established a relationship with Ramaphosa or was secretly working with ANC figures against the MK Party’s leadership.

He argued that several accusations against him were based on fabricated information rather than credible evidence.

His media briefing also touched on other allegations contained in reports allegedly presented to Zuma. These included claims that he was working with former health minister Zweli Mkhize, plotting with former MK Party secretary-general Floyd Shivambu to remove Zuma and misusing party funds.

Nomvalo denied the accusations and said he had previously attempted to present documents and other evidence to clear his name.

His dismissal has attracted attention amid ongoing reports of internal disagreements and leadership tensions within the MK Party.

When announcing his removal, party spokesperson Sifiso Mahlangu cited concerns involving the councillor selection process, internal factionalism, dual remuneration, delays in campaign materials and changes within the parliamentary caucus and administration.

However, Nomvalo has offered a different account of the circumstances surrounding his departure, suggesting that individuals within the party deliberately presented misleading information to Zuma.

The former secretary-general’s allegations have also raised questions about the potential use of artificial intelligence-generated images in political disputes, particularly when such material is presented without proper verification.

It is important to note that Nomvalo’s claims about the alleged images and intelligence reports have not been independently verified. The MK Party’s response to these latest allegations was not included in the reports of his media briefing.

His public comments have therefore added another dimension to the controversy surrounding his removal, with the former secretary-general insisting that his integrity should not be damaged by allegations he maintains are false.
