Betway Premiership Standings and Results Ahead of Tonight’s Matches

The Betway Premiership continues to produce exciting action, with Orlando Pirates securing an important 2-1 victory over Kaizer Chiefs in the Soweto Derby, while Milford FC claimed a narrow win against Sekhukhune United.

Pirates collected all three points after defeating their biggest rivals at a sold-out FNB Stadium on Saturday. The victory gave the Buccaneers bragging rights and ended Chiefs’ unbeaten record in the league.

Yanela Mbuthuma opened the scoring for Pirates, with Thapelo Mokobodi providing the assist. Tshepang Moremi later added the second goal, once again benefiting from Mokobodi’s creativity as the midfielder recorded two assists in the encounter.

Kaizer Chiefs managed to find the back of the net through Pule Mmodi, but their effort was not enough to prevent a defeat. The match also saw Inacio Miguel receive a red card, leaving the Glamour Boys with an additional challenge during the contest.

The result was a significant boost for Pirates as they continued their push for success in the Betway Premiership. Beating Chiefs in the Soweto Derby will also provide the team with confidence ahead of their upcoming fixtures.

Meanwhile, Milford FC secured a valuable 1-0 victory over Sekhukhune United. Mvelo Zikakayo scored the only goal of the match, with Menzi Chili providing the assist.

The result gave Milford an important three points as they continued their impressive campaign. Sekhukhune, on the other hand, were left disappointed after failing to find an equaliser.

With these results added to the league campaign, attention now turns to the remaining fixtures scheduled for tonight. The outcomes could bring further changes to the standings as teams continue fighting for better positions.

Pirates’ derby victory and Milford’s important win have added another interesting chapter to the league season. Supporters will now be watching closely to see how tonight’s matches affect the Betway Premiership standings.
