Sundowns Deliver Four-Goal Statement Against Durban City to Extend Lead at the Top

Mamelodi Sundowns continued their impressive run in the Betway Premiership after recording a convincing 4-1 victory over Durban City to collect another three points and maintain their position at the top of the standings.

The Brazilians delivered an emphatic attacking performance, finding the back of the net four times to overcome Durban City and strengthen their grip on first place.

The result takes Sundowns to 26 points, keeping Masandawana firmly at the summit as they continue their pursuit of another league title.

For the Tshwane giants, the victory represents another important step in what remains a demanding domestic campaign. Consistency is essential in a title race, and securing maximum points from matches such as this will be crucial to maintaining their advantage over their competitors.

Scoring four goals will also be encouraging for the Sundowns technical team, particularly as the club looks to maintain its attacking threat throughout the season. Their ability to turn the encounter into a comfortable victory underlines the quality available within the squad.

Durban City, meanwhile, will be disappointed with the outcome after conceding four goals. Although they managed to score once, they could not prevent Sundowns from securing all three points.

The defeat will provide lessons for the Durban-based side as they look to improve their performances in the remaining fixtures. Competing against a team with Sundowns’ quality requires concentration and consistency, and the final score reflected the challenge they faced.

For Sundowns supporters, the result offers further encouragement as the club continues its campaign at the top of South African football. The team will now look to build on this performance and carry its winning momentum into the upcoming fixtures.

With 26 points on the board, Masandawana remain in control of their position at the summit. However, maintaining that advantage will require continued focus as the Betway Premiership title race develops.

The message from the Brazilians is clear they remain determined to defend their status among South African football’s leading sides.
