“I Almost Confronted Him”- Nigerian Mortician Reacts After Man Accuses Him Of Mishandling His Late Father’s Corpse
A Nigerian mortician has reacted after a man accused him of mishandling his late father’s corpse, sharing his experience and explaining why people should allow morticians to carry out their duties without constantly monitoring them.
Speaking about the incident, the mortician questioned the man’s decision to keep peeping through the mortuary window while they were working on his father’s body.
“How can you bring someone to the mortuary and keep peeping through the window to see what the morticians are doing with the corpse? I almost confronted him,” he said.
He further advised people against constantly watching morticians while they work, explaining that some procedures involved in preparing corpses may appear unusual to those who are unfamiliar with the profession.
According to him, some corpses may have already become stiff before arriving at the mortuary, making it necessary for morticians to straighten the body before proceeding with embalming.
He explained that such procedures are part of the work morticians carry out and urged families to understand that not every action taken during the preservation process amounts to mishandling a corpse.
@Tony Burj:”You don’t have to blame them it’s so painful to watch. I can’t stand it when they were forcing my Dad corpse from the car we use to convey him to the mortuary because his body was alread stiff. This work Una get mind oo ☹️🥲”
