Uhuru Kenyatta’s 4,000-Acre Farm Housing Over 1,000 Animals and 2,000 Acres of Grass
Former President Uhuru Kenyatta reportedly owns a 4,000-acre farm known as Gicheha Farm, located in Rongai Sub-County, some distance from the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway. The expansive property is home to more than 1,000 animals, with beef cattle accounting for the majority of the livestock.
Most of the cattle on the farm are reportedly imported from South Africa, which is recognised as one of the leading beef producers on the African continent.
Beyond the livestock, Gicheha Farm also features extensive grass-covered land dedicated to supporting its animals. Approximately 2,000 acres of the property are covered with Boma Rhodes grass, providing a substantial area for livestock feeding.
The expansive grass fields form a notable part of the farm, with stretches of Boma Rhodes grass visible across the property.
With over 1,000 animals occupying the 4,000-acre property and 2,000 acres dedicated to Boma Rhodes grass, Gicheha Farm combines extensive livestock keeping with large-scale grass production. Its size and the number of animals make it a notable agricultural property in Rongai Sub-County.
