Liar, I Dare You to Prove It — Nana Romeo Challenges Nigel Gaisie Over Rent Payment Claim

According to a report by GhanaWeb on Saturday, October 31, 2026, Ghanaian radio presenter and media personality Nana Romeo has publicly challenged the founder of Prophetic Hill Chapel, Prophet Nigel Gaisie, over a claim that the preacher once assisted him financially by paying for his accommodation.

The disagreement follows an interview in which Nigel Gaisie reportedly told Neat FM that he had previously settled Nana Romeo’s rent, a statement that the broadcaster has strongly disputed.

Reacting to the claim in a video circulating on TikTok, Nana Romeo expressed his displeasure and cautioned the prophet against making statements about him that he considers untrue.

The presenter insisted that Nigel Gaisie never provided him with money to secure accommodation, explaining that he already had somewhere to live before they became acquainted.

He described the preacher’s account of helping him pay rent as false and demanded that he produce evidence to support his statement.

“Nigel is lying. He didn’t give me any money to go and rent. In fact, the only promise he made was that I had been good to him because I used to bring him on Accra FM in those days. He then asked me what I wanted as a way of showing his appreciation,” Nana Romeo said.

He further explained that when the prophet asked how he could appreciate the support he had received from him, he requested a piece of land that he intended to use to honour his mother.

According to the presenter, Nigel Gaisie did not fulfil that particular promise, although he maintained that he had no resentment towards him over the matter.

Nana Romeo, however, took issue with the decision to make claims about his accommodation on a radio programme, insisting that the prophet had no justification for presenting a version of events that he says is inaccurate.

“You don’t have any right to sit on the radio and spread false statements about me, after all you did to me. Nigel, I want you to come out and provide proof that you gave me money to pay rent. I had a place to stay when I met you,” he stated.

The media personality also disclosed that Nigel Gaisie had approached staff of Peace FM the previous day and expressed an interest in resolving their differences.

He said he was willing to accept the idea of reconciliation because he believed in forgiveness, but warned the preacher against using the situation to improve his public image.

“Yesterday, you told the staff of Peace FM that you wanted to amend our differences, which I agreed to because I had to forgive you. If you want to reconcile, don’t use me for damage control,” he added.

Nana Romeo’s response has placed the conflicting accounts of the two personalities at the centre of their disagreement, with the broadcaster maintaining that he wants the prophet to provide evidence for his claim that he once paid his rent.
