Moses Kuria draws parallels between Kalonzo’s heckling at Lavington and 2007 Tononoka rally

Former Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has drawn parallels between the heckling of Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka at Linda Mwananchi’s event in Lavington and a similar incident during the 2007 opposition rally at Tononoka Grounds in Mombasa. In a statement on Friday, October 30, 2026, Kuria recalled how Kalonzo was heckled on July 9, 2007, during a major rally organised by the then united ODM Kenya, arguing that the incident marked a turning point in the former Vice President’s political journey.
