Reactions As AAC Presidential Candidate, Omoyele Sowore Was Allegedly Attacked In Ekiti

Social media users have taken to their official X account to react after Nigerian activist and presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore was seen with bandage on his hand and leg.

The AAC presidential candidate shared the post on his official X account on Friday, October 30, 2026.

This came after it was reported that Omoyele Sowore and some AAC members were abducted by armed thugs in Ekiti state.

In the statement that Omoyele Sowore shared on his official X account, he said those who attacked them came from the government house.

The AAC presidential candidate said the thugs were provided with with tracking and operational support by officials of the Department of State Service, DSS.

According to Omoyele Sowore on his official X account;

“Since our arrival yesterday, DSS operatives have been trailing and harassing us. They even threatened the manager of the first place where we ate, warning him never to allow us to use his premises again”.
