Ndindi Nyoro Sends Early Warning To Gachagua and Other Opposition Party Members, Reason Revealed

Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro has challenged opposition leaders against introducing zoning arrangements in their discussions on sharing political positions ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Speaking about the opposition’s political negotiations, Nyoro said the position agreed upon should be the sharing of the presidency and deputy presidency, dismissing the idea of zoning particular positions among coalition partners.

“Position we agree as People’s Party as opposition is President and Deputy President. There is no term called ‘zoning’ in the People’s Party,” Nyoro said.

His remarks come amid ongoing discussions among opposition leaders over how to organise themselves and agree on a joint presidential ticket to challenge President William Ruto in the 2027 elections.

The debate over leadership positions has featured prominently in opposition politics, with different parties and leaders seeking clarity on how power would be shared should they form a coalition. Nyoro urged members to focus on the agreed political arrangement.
