“May Allah Bless Our Beloved Nation”: BUA Chairman Abdul Samad Rabiu Shares Special Moment With President Tinubu In Makkah

BUA Group Chairman, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has shared a message of faith and national unity following his meeting with President Bola Tinubu upon the President’s arrival in the holy city of Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

Rabiu, in a message accompanying photographs of the encounter, described the experience as a moment of honour and gratitude, noting that he was privileged to accompany the President on the journey ahead of Friday prayers.

“A moment of honour and gratitude as we welcomed His Excellency the President upon his arrival, privileged to accompany him on this blessed journey to the Holy City of Makkah on the eve of Jummah,” he wrote.

He added: “May Allah accept our prayers on this blessed Friday and bless our beloved nation with lasting peace, unity, and prosperity.”

Rabiu, one of Nigeria’s leading industrialists, is the founder and chairman of BUA Group, with business interests spanning cement, food production and infrastructure.

Beyond business, he is known for his philanthropy through the Abdul Samad Rabiu Africa Initiative (ASR Africa), established in 2021 with an annual $100 million commitment to support healthcare, education and social development across Africa.

The initiative has supported projects involving hospital infrastructure, university facilities and educational development, while Rabiu also contributed significantly to Nigeria’s private-sector response to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

Through these interventions, the billionaire businessman has extended his activities beyond industrial investment to projects aimed at improving livelihoods and strengthening public institutions.

His message from Makkah placed particular emphasis on prayers for Nigeria’s peace, unity and prosperity.
