Obi Was In PDP, Trouble Came,He Ran, He Went To LP, He Ran, He Went To ADC, Trouble Came,He Ran–Wike
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has criticised the political movement of the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, accusing him of frequently changing political parties whenever he faces challenges.
In a video shared by Channels TV, Wike made the remark during a meeting with members and supporters of the Rainbow Coalition in Oyigbo, Rivers State, where he spoke about the 2027 general elections and campaigned for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election.
While questioning the records of opposition figures seeking to become president, Wike challenged former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to present his achievements to the people of Oyigbo.
He also criticised Obi for moving from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the Labour Party and later the African Democratic Congress (ADC), suggesting that the former Anambra State governor could not remain in one political party when problems arose.
Wike further declared that he was the coordinator of Tinubu’s re-election campaign in Rivers State and the FCT.
He promised to work towards ensuring Tinubu wins both states in 2027, adding that he would resign as minister if the president failed to win Rivers State.
In his words, “Obi was in PDP, trouble came, he ran, he went to Labour, trouble came, he ran, he went to ADC, trouble came, he ran, you can’t stay anywhere.”
