“He Is Too Good for This League” – Football Expert Makes Bold Claim About Super Eagles Star
According to a report by The Punch on Friday, October 30, 2026, Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has been described as being too good for the Turkish Super Lig.
Turkish football expert Emre Bol made the remark following the Nigerian international’s impressive performance, in which his brace inspired Galatasaray to a 2-1 victory over Fenerbahçe.
Osimhen delivered a match-winning performance in Monday’s Istanbul derby at Rams Park, scoring twice in the first half to give Galatasaray a two-goal advantage over their bitter rivals.
The 27-year-old opened the scoring in the 29th minute before doubling his side’s lead in the 44th minute.
Although Fenerbahçe reduced the deficit through İrfan Can Kahveci in the second half, Galatasaray held on to secure all three points and return to the top of the Turkish Super Lig table.
Reacting to the Nigerian striker’s performance, Bol described him as a player capable of deciding the outcome of competitions.
Speaking on the SporON YouTube channel, the Turkish football pundit admitted that he could not recall another player in recent years who had made such a significant impact on matches.
“Osimhen is too good for this league. He’s one of those guys who finishes the competition,” Bol said.
“I don’t remember another guy in years who, when he’s on the field, has such a 100 percent impact on the game. He’s a guy who leaves his mark on the game and has a 100 percent impact.”
Osimhen has continued to establish himself as one of Galatasaray’s most influential players since joining the Turkish giants on loan from Italian side Napoli in September 2024 before completing a permanent transfer in July 2025.
The Nigerian striker enjoyed an outstanding debut season in Turkey, scoring 37 goals and providing eight assists in 41 appearances across all competitions as Galatasaray won both the Turkish Super Lig and the Turkish Cup.
He also finished the campaign as the league’s top scorer, claiming the Golden Boot with 26 goals.
The former Napoli forward has maintained his impressive goalscoring form in the ongoing campaign.
He found the net in Galatasaray’s 4-2 Champions League victory over Lille on October 21 before scoring twice against Fenerbahçe five days later.
