After Kaduna Rally, There Are Indications Tinubu Is Being Prepared For Another Foreign Trip— Sowore
Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), has raised concerns over President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reported plan to travel to Saudi Arabia for Umrah, questioning the timing of the proposed journey and making allegations about the president’s health.
Sowore made the remarks in a post on his official X account following Tinubu’s appearance at the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign rally in Kaduna State.
In his post, the AAC chieftain alleged that preparations were underway for another foreign trip by the president, reportedly scheduled for October 29, 2026. He expressed concern about the development but did not provide evidence to substantiate his health-related claims.
“Nigeria is in serious trouble! After the Kaduna rally, there are now indications that Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialabat is being prepared for another foreign trip tomorrow, October 29, 2026, amid growing questions about his health,” Sowore wrote.
The activist also alleged that five state governors, some ministers and prominent businesspeople were being assembled to accompany Tinubu on the reported journey.
According to Sowore, the presence of government officials and influential business figures could be intended to present the trip as an official business visit rather than a journey for religious purposes.
However, the claims about the proposed travel arrangements and the alleged motive behind the participation of the officials were not independently established in the information provided.
Sowore further compared Tinubu’s situation with that of former President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, whose health became a major political issue during his time in office.
Drawing the comparison, the AAC presidential candidate asked, “Like Yar’Adua, like Tinubu?”
He concluded his post with the hashtags #RevolutionNow and #TinubuMustGo, signalling his continued opposition to the president.
Yar’Adua, who served as Nigeria’s president from 2007 until his death in 2010, experienced prolonged health-related absences from office that generated public debate about presidential leadership and transparency.
