According to The Sun Nigeria news on 29 October 2026, the management of veteran Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu has provided an update on her health, revealing that she experienced unexpected complications following surgery more than three months ago.

The actress, who has remained on the path to recovery, is reportedly still healing and has yet to regain her full strength. Her management disclosed the development in a statement accompanied by a video showing the actress lying on a hospital bed.

According to the statement, Nwosu underwent surgery over three months ago, but her recovery journey has been complicated by unforeseen medical challenges. Despite the difficulties, the actress remains focused on getting better and has expressed her appreciation for the support she has received from members of the public.

Her management explained that although Nwosu is not yet completely recovered, she insisted on personally addressing her supporters to thank them for their prayers, financial contributions, messages of encouragement, and other forms of assistance during her difficult period.

The statement acknowledged the significant role played by well-wishers in supporting the actress, noting that their kindness and generosity have remained a source of encouragement throughout her recovery.

The management said, “Over three months ago, so many of you showed up with love, prayers, and support when she needed it most. We are still incredibly grateful to everyone who gave, shared her story, sent a message, or kept her in their prayers.”

It further explained that the actress had undergone one surgery, but the recovery process had not progressed as smoothly as expected because of some unexpected complications.

The team added that Nwosu considered it important to communicate directly with her supporters, express her gratitude, and provide an update on her condition despite still being in the process of healing.

Her management also appealed to the public to continue remembering the actress in their prayers and offering support as she navigates the challenges associated with her recovery.

The latest development comes after Nwosu previously disclosed that she was battling an undisclosed health condition that required three surgeries, with the total estimated cost put at ₦30 million.
