Galamsey: NAIMOS arrests six illegal miners in follow-up operation at Bole

The National Anti-Illegal Mining Operations Secretariat (NAIMOS) has arrested six suspected illegal miners at Wakawaka in the Bole District of the Savannah Region during a follow-up operation aimed at preventing the resumption of illegal mining in the area.The operation, conducted in collaboration with the Northern Command of the Ghana Armed Forces from October 26 to 28, 2026, followed intelligence that illegal miners had returned to previously cleared sites and rebuilt infrastructure to resume their activities.
